1. About ShipMate
ShipMate is a parcel forwarding service operated by AIE Direct Group Limited ("we", "us", "our"). We provide customers in Seychelles with a UK delivery address and forward parcels received at that address to their specified delivery address in Seychelles.
By creating an account and using ShipMate, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to register.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when registering and keep it updated.
- One account per person. We reserve the right to close duplicate accounts.
3. Your UK address
On registration, we assign you a personal UK delivery address at our facility in Bromley, Kent. This address is for your personal use only.
- You may not share your UK address with other individuals or use it to receive parcels on behalf of others.
- You must use your full registered name when placing orders with UK retailers so we can match parcels to your account.
- We accept no liability for parcels that cannot be matched to an account due to incorrect name details.
4. Receiving and forwarding parcels
When a parcel arrives at our UK facility we will notify you by email with the weight, dimensions, and a forwarding quote.
- Parcels will be held at our facility for up to 30 days from the date of our notification. After this period we reserve the right to return, donate, or dispose of unclaimed items.
- Forwarding will proceed once you have approved the quote and payment has been received.
- Estimated delivery times to Seychelles are indicative only. We are not liable for delays caused by customs, weather, carrier issues, or events outside our control.
- We take reasonable care when handling parcels but are not liable for damage caused by the original retailer's packaging.
5. Prohibited items
You must not use ShipMate to send items that are prohibited or restricted by UK export regulations, Seychelles import regulations, or our carriers. This includes but is not limited to:
- Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
- Weapons, ammunition, or explosives
- Counterfeit or pirated goods
- Perishable food or live animals
- Illegal substances of any kind
- Any item whose import or export is restricted by law
We reserve the right to refuse, return, or report to the relevant authorities any parcel we believe contains prohibited items. You will remain liable for any costs or penalties arising from prohibited items.
6. Pricing and payment
- Forwarding costs are quoted per shipment based on actual weight and dimensions.
- Quoted prices include all applicable carrier surcharges. ShipMate's service fee is itemised separately in your quote.
- All prices are in GBP (£). Payment must be received before a parcel is shipped.
- We are not responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees levied by Seychelles authorities. These are the sole responsibility of the recipient.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability to you in respect of any claim shall not exceed the forwarding fee paid for the relevant shipment.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of goods value, missed deadlines, or lost business opportunities.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at info@aiedirectgroup.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, misuse the service, or if we are required to do so by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of ShipMate after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Communications and marketing
By creating an account, we may send you service-related emails such as parcel status updates, payment confirmations, and important account notices. These are necessary for the operation of the service.
We will only send you marketing communications (news, promotions, and offers) if you have given your explicit consent by ticking the marketing opt-in box at registration.
